The thefts took place in Litchfield County sometime overnight on Monday, Jan. 9, in Torrington.

The Torrington School District said on its website that school had to be delayed for up to two hours due to the thefts.

The district did not say how many converters were stolen, or how soon the buses would be repaired.

An investigation is ongoing by the Torrington Police Department.
